Adaptations

Access adaptions include wheelchair accessible vehicles whereas, other options include the permanent type swivel seats which turn or move either inside the car or outside it. It is also lowered to ensure that access can be made a lot easier.

An alternative electric hoist is used to lift you into the car and would be suitable for anyone who does not want the Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) and allows for the original seat to be used as well.

Stowage adaptations are used to take control over your wheelchair or scooter.

The boot or rooftop has a built in hoist or stowage which can lift your wheelchair or scooter by just pressing a button. You can guide it to wherever you want it.

Driving adaptations make driving that bit easier as it enables you to drive where ever you thought was impossible.

You will also receive help for speed control, steering and signalling.

Your nominated driver can still drive the car as it will have all its original controls. Although, the driving controls may require an automatic gearbox.
