Saltmarine Mazda Celebrate 30 Years
We were joined today by representatives from Mazda UK to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Saltmarine Mazda.
Cast your mind back to 1992… Nigel Mansell won the Formula One world Championship, John Major was UK Prime Minister and Silence of the Lambs had won 5 Academy Awards when Neil Salt opened the doors to Saltmarine Mazda for the first time on December 10th that year.
Since then we have sold over 5,000 new Mazda units with the Mazda 6 (formerly Mazda 626) being our most popular model, accounting for over 1,200 units sold.
We are also the longest running Mazda dealer still in operation in Northern Ireland today.
Laura Brailey, Head of Retail Operations Mazda UK presented Michael and Tony Salt with a commemorative plaque to mark this exceptional achievement and commented, “Saltmarine Mazda has achieved the fantastic milestone of 30 years representing the Mazda franchise and we are very proud and excited to celebrate this anniversary with them."
"The huge number of customers they have welcomed to the franchise over the last 3 decades and regularly see them return again and again to continue their relationship with both Saltmarine and Mazda is testament to the team’s dedication and spirit of partnership we have with them.”
Tony Salt commented, “We’ve seen some fantastic models through the years, the 323 V6, the RX-8 and the B series pickup trucks are among my favourites however the future for Mazda looks even more exciting. The current model line-up and the cars planned for the near to medium future are outstanding in terms of design, technology, innovation and sustainability.”
Michael Salt added, “We are incredibly proud to be Northern Irelands longest serving Mazda dealer. Mazda customers appreciate the craftsmanship, build quality and premium finish that the brand has become synonymous with over that time.”
We regularly welcome back the same customers time and again, some of which are enjoying their 5th or 6th cars from us. We have also sold Mazda to different generations of the same family such is the infectious love for the brand.
This level of success would not have been possible without the support from a progressive ever-evolving manufacturer and the high standards of customer care we maintain.
We also owe a huge thank you to all of our Mazda customers, past and present. This milestone would not have been possible without their loyalty to us and devotion to the Mazda brand. Here’s to another 30 years.”
